Feiern 28 Jahre Jazz-Exzellenz mit einem Wochenende voller Live-Auftritte in Historic Overtown . Das 28. jährliche Melton Mustafa Jazz Festival kehrt zurück 28. Februar Zu 2. März zum Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater, um das Vermächtnis des gefeierten Jazztrompeters Melton Mustafa Sr. und des Bassvirtuosen Jaco Pastorius aus Südflorida zu ehren.
Das Programm am Sonntag umfasst einen roten Teppich und einen VIP-Empfang, gefolgt von Auftritten des Melton Mustafa Orchestra mit Jesse Jones Jr., Lenard Rutledge und anderen. Den Höhepunkt des Abends bildet die Jaco Pastorius Big Band unter der Leitung von Peter Graves und ein noch bekannt zu gebender besonderer Gastkünstler.
Gegründet in 1996 Dieses Festival ist zu einem Eckpfeiler des Kulturkalenders von Miami geworden und bietet eine Plattform für lokale und internationale Künstler, Studenten und Pädagogen und fördert gleichzeitig die Liebe zum Jazz aller Hintergründe.
